unsponsored Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 We are moving to Sims Lesson Monitor from Bromcom. All is working well, but is it possible to get the old lesson by lesson data back into Sims. AM/PM is already there.
vikpaw Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 I don't think so, as the data holders aren't there unless it was used in that year. The main attendance has to be there for all students but the lesson monitor part is optional. So unless you can retrospectively create the past years within LM then i doubt it will work. I'm not sure though as only just about to start using it myself.... Ask Bromcom, they're usually very helpful and if there's a way to write it back, they'll do it, even if you are leaving.
towen Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 I used Bromcom at my previous school; I thought that lesson registration marks could be sent back to SIMS via BRODIS - if my memory servers me correctly I think there is an option for this just like the AM\PM Marks... Perhaps worth a chat with Bromcom Helpdesk...
vikpaw Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 am/pm marks defo go back that way (brodis), however if you were still running bromcom but did not have lesson monitor then there would be no where for those lesson marks to go. similarly, changing to lesson monitor, i doubt that anything other than this year can be sent back. there is probably a way around it, but you'd need to create years in the past for when the lesson monitor module wasn't used / paid for. Not sure that's viable. there is probably a work around but will no doubt be chargeable by one or both parties.
unsponsored Posted March 3, 2009 Author Posted March 3, 2009 Sending this years back (from Sept 08) would be fine. I'll check the settings in Brodis.
