robla64 Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 This is my first attempt at a Joomla site. I still need to flesh out some of the content, but we have some neat things like the school newspaper and the school morning announcements as a podcast. http://199.184.247.207 We are located in Cranston, Rhode Island USA
mossj Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 looks good but maybe look at adding some space between the mission statement and School events title as it looks like it overlaps slightly....
robla64 Posted February 6, 2009 Author Posted February 6, 2009 looks good but maybe look at adding some space between the mission statement and School events title as it looks like it overlaps slightly.... Do I edit that in the newsflash module or in the css file? TIA
mossj Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 CSS if it has a unique class, If not give it one in the module editor then use CSS
techie211 Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 I like your site. here is my site. just set it up and need to tweak it alittle. Redirecting... how did you create this menu and block border? which template are you using?
robla64 Posted March 3, 2009 Author Posted March 3, 2009 Thanks I used one of the templates that came with the eduJoomla pack last Fall eg_green 1.5 SYSMAN_MK edited for 1.5 by Alonebfg Thats where the menus came from. Then i had my students design the banner based on the colors from that template.
techie211 Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 thanks, is that template still available? or what other templates work with the EduGeek package?
daboroe Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 no it is not due to some of the addons that were being used some people were selling that package to schools from what i have heard. you have to use the new one. those who still have the older one can use it if it is for school use only. good website. why is it accessible via an ip address and not a domain name?
robla64 Posted March 6, 2009 Author Posted March 6, 2009 The site is only available via ip because I need to move it to a different server. The site is on a server in our subnet 10.1.5... and is being mapped to an external ip. The old site is on an IIS server with the rest of the schools in our city.... I have been looking for a way to redirect it, but it oos like I will have to move the site over to the other server. Thanks for looking at the site. The edugeek package gave me a leg up when I was first learning Joomla. Rob
