moggy Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 (edited) Be warned - we've just taken delivery of one of these units and the mains lead is a massive 37cm (15-ish ins in old money). I know companies are cutting costs, but this is taking cuts too far! I expect HP own or have shares in an extension lead supplier. It's actually not what was first observed. moggy Posted February 2, 2009 Author Posted February 2, 2009 My half asleep assistant has just dug deep into the box and found the power supply to scanner lead, which is a more sensible length. My assistant is now making tea and sweeping the floors!
rosswilson Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Hehe Yes I have a HP Photosmart C6180 here that has a IEC "kettle lead" of about 15 inches, which goes into a power brick, then a long cable into the printer. I had the same thoughts as you when I opened the box to find this cable.
