It detects modifications in your system, so as to detect a trojan or a spyware installation. Set your own security level for anti-spyware, anti-trojan, firewall, antivirus (need ClamWin installed) Going to play with this on my home PC. Looks good.
Geoff Posted August 13, 2006 Author Posted August 13, 2006 Fine, although you have to be careful with Anticheat software like Punkbuster/VAC. It thinks your cheating because it can't scan certain things in your machine. It can also be fairly 'noisy' until you've got all the rules sorted out. The warnings would probably scare a non-technical user.

Norton is real good, and does block web sites that are bad. But if you want to buy it, then you need to uninstall Microsoft. There a reason, they tell you not to have more than one anti-virus program on a computer.
