Symantec sues Microsoft, May delay Vista

Symantec filed a lawsuit in Seattle today alleging Microsoft committed a host of business misdeeds, including misappropriating trade secrets and violating a contract that covered code used in part of the coming Windows Vista operating system.

 

Ho hum.

Symantec is seeking to stop "further development, sale or distribution of he 'Vista' and 'Longhorn' versions of the Windows client and server operating systems," among other injunctions.

 

Likely to happen????

 

I don't think so, but it will undoubtedly delay!!!

Makes sense. When Vista and the Live service arrive i suspect it will wipe out a fair chunk of Symantec's customer base.

How many people think this is hillarious since Windows is the only OS Symantec can make a profit from since it is the only one that performs poorly enough to NEED something like Symantec software?

 

Smacks a bit of biting the hand that feeds you!
