Hi,

We are using Ghost 8.3 here. I've done away with booting from floppy disks and moved to PXE. took me 3 hours going through tutorials but now I have it working I would like to take a step further by remotely booting the machines in to ghost and either restore/create an image.

Is this possible with the current version we have?

If it is, how do I go about doing so?

If not what would you recommend?

cheers

Ghost 8 did not have this functionality as far as I'm aware - you'd need one of the later versions named 'Ghost Solution Suite' (the current version of this is 2.5 IIRC).

Cheers, we are upgrading all our server hardware/software in 4 weeks, and we have bought the new version of ghost. Will just have to wait till then

Be repaired to spend abit of time playing when your new it looks complicated. Its an excellent bit of kit, the best part is you can image the room from home if people are still in there at the end of the day.

PS: another note, sometimes if you get the wrong NDIS drivers on it can cause you to get stuck in PCDOS. When i did it i had to killdisk the machines to get them working again.
