Software install error - Help mind's gone blank

I'm trying to install VMWare Server on a Windows 2003 Server. Both versions 1.05 and version 2 fail to install. Looks like a software installation policy set by my predecessor and my brain just won't kick into gear and find the damn setting thats blocking the install!

 

Anyone got any ideas, tips, pointers to where and what I should be looking at/for

It's a bug i had the same thing myself on a clean isntal i did the following:

 

Click Start -> Control Panel

Open Administrative Tools

Open Local Security Settings

Click Software Restriction Policies

If no software restrictions are defined, right click the Software Restriction Policies node and select New Software Restriction Policy

Double click Enforcement

Select "All users except local administrators"

Click OK

Reboot the machine

 

It fixed it for me
