Note: I didn't lay on the ground through - it was toooooo cold.

I found the most helpful thing was a kind passenger from a passing vehicle. Just could not pick it up and I think it was because it was on a hill plus ice. Another kind soul offered the use of their drive to stash the bike on until later, I then walked back and got the car. Luckily this was only round the corner from my house. Was quite a graceful drop though.

 

Felt slightly stupid on the way in as by the time I set off all the roads were just about clear. Felt less stupid when I saw a van wheel spinning while trying to get out of our car park.

I was going ok until I got the entrance of the school which is on a steep hill. I stopped, looked at the road, thought - ' Hmmmm, looks ok to me.....Whoops !!!! '
