Im going to the casino tonight, havent ever really been before, and i was hoping to do a little gambling.

I've set a limit of about £20 to £40 (max) as i dont have much money to loose.

I've never really been a cards player or stood in the pub playing on the gamblers but was hoping to have a go on roulette, I was just wondering if anyone had an tips on playing roulette - Bigginers guide if you like?

stake money left pocket, winnings right.

easiest way to play is bet red or black (50/50).

Only tips are:

Not 50/50 as zero is a house win. See bold in quote.

Bet minimum stake on red. If it comes up, great, minimum stake again. If not, double your stake and try again. Keep doubling until it comes up, then go back to minimum stake. Keep going like this. It'll probably appear to be foolproof at first, but unfortunately it doesn't work!

Good luck!

You get the best odds on Blackjack, particularly if you can count cards, but that's a good way to get yourself kicked out.

With roulette you're better off betting on red, black, even, odd, low or high. These give you the fairest payout (house still has an edge though). Hopefully you'll find a European rather than American table. The European tables have a single '0', the American ones have '0' and '00' which doubles the house odds (to about 1 in 20 chance of the house taking everything).

If any tables advertise that they're playing 'in prison' rules then these give you a slightly better chance still. What it means is that if the ball lands on 0 instead of just losing your bet its held for the next spin. If you win the next spin you get it back, otherwise you lose it.
