We have just downloaded this software here, I have set it up in G.P. and it deploys the MSI fine, and it sends the settings (have tested with the admin test that comes with it) that i set in group policy. However it does not seem to have any effect on the PC weather im logged in or not. Any suggestions gratefully recived as we rearly want this piece of software to work!!

Never heard of the software until I just googled it, looks like it could be worth trying.

 

Have you tried doing a gpupdate /force just to make sure they're all definately ready to recieve instructions.

 

If the software installs something on the clients make sure its actually installed (i.e reboot them a few times) or if it makes the client look at a configuration file on a network share, make sure the permissions are correct.

 

Also if it does install software on the clients, make sure there are no firewall issues.

Thanks for that, I tried several reboots (the instructions for the software say to) and i tried a gpupdate /force but even though it has taken the settings it doesnt seem to work still. any other suggestions?

Hmm nope, do you know how it works? does it make the clients run a program or a script or something, if so make sure its a startup or shutdown script for user (permission) issues.
