Adding favourites to groups

Hello All

 

I have produced a set of weblinks for teachers and students and would like to add these to their profiles. Can you give me any advice on how to do this?

You can add URL's using Group Policies, you'll find it here:

 

User Configuration / Windows Settings / Internet Explorer Maintenance / URLs

You can set Favourites under Group Policy.

 

User Configuration --> Internet Explorer Maintenance --> URLS --> Favorites and Links.

Do you know if I can if I can add whole folders?

If you want to do that your best off using folder redirection for the Favourites instead.

I have a folder structure using the favourites and links method above. Doesn't transfer 'that' easily, but you can export the ones from the machine you're running the console from.

im having the same problem at the moment.

 

what i think im going todo, is use robocopy to just copy the "GLOBAL LINKS" root folder(that contains all my sub folders) onto each persons all user folder.
