Ric_ Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Has anyone started to use Windows Powershell in anger yet? I've been having a brief look at it and it doesn't seem overly complicated... except I cannot see a reason to use it at the moment. The graphical version of Powershell 2.0 is very shiny too
Domino Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Only really used the exchange 2007 bit. Have to say I'm not overly impressed.
ChrisH Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 I haven't seen a good reason to use it yet. It looks like I will be skipping Exchange 2007 which is the only thing I seem to see it mentioned with. I am currently concentrating on some other languages which I think will be better to be proficient in.
ajbritton Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 It's brilliant for doing bulk stuff in Exchange 2007. I've used it to extract lists based on particular criteria and also to make bulk changes. It takes me a while to get the syntax just right, but I guess that's always the case when getting used to a new language.
