Dell 1320c Problem Faint Black text

We have 6 of these that we purchased from CPLtd, but now 2 of them have an odd problem since we replaced the Black printer cartridges..

 

The text is very very faint - eg:

 

it has started to look like this

 

No other colours have been affected, in one of the printers we have replaced the Magenta toner and all is fine..

 

Possibilities

 

1) Faulty toners - but 3 of them (tried 2 toners in 1 printer) ?

2) Faulty PHD - but again - in 2 printers??

3) Faulty Printers?

 

Have removed all the yellow tabs that I can find and tried adjusting various settings both on teh printer and the software to no avail..

 

Only solution has been to ask people to try changing text to say blue but this is not ideal and getting very frustrating for all
