penfold_99 Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 VLE is more of a concept than an physical thing. A VLE in theory can do anything you want it to do, but the consensus is that it a place for learning resources, to enable learning anywhere any time.

penfold_99 Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 We currently have moodle running in our school, we pull course memberships information from SIMS.net and populate moodle. Teacher can then create resources to help in the teaching of their lesssons. We authenticate moodle against active directory to make sure when know which student is logging in.

It is a basic requirement for schools now. A VLE should enable the storage and use of resources by staff and students from within the school and from home.
