andy_d Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Anyone here got emathematics to work on a network, I've set it up in a shared folder, and even with full control access it only works when logged on as an administrator.
TheCrust Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Kinda of. Inasmuch as we used a Win2008 Terminal server to deploy the app anyway. - Install the app on the Win 2008 terminal server in single user mode. - Use the Win 2008 terminal server application deployment tools to create the .rdp file - locate the file centrally on the network, create shortcut to file in students redirected desktop / application folders Works OK for us.
TheScarfedOne Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 This software is a real PITA! Finally got it to work yesterday, but a bit random. Do the server install as normal. Then change the config file to use "servername" not IP. Restart the service. Install the client. Again, change the config file to use "servername" not IP. Randomly, then if you use the shortcut or the exe on the client - it doesnt work - but if you use the one from the server location (map drive or vnc) it works fine. Grrrr... damn software!
