Printing problems

There is a problem with an HP printer. A PC cant print from Internet Explorer or Outlook express but they can print from other programs such as Sage or Office. The HP printer is connected over a network. Any ideas?

Can you give some specific examples of what sort of error, if any the non-functioning programs give. Also, have you checked the event log for any errors that might help.

 

Best guess with this sort of thing is to check your driver versions and try reinstalling after scrubbing the old ones.

 

Oh and check that you haven't inadvertently set the defaults on the non-functioning programs to something that the printer can't handle (eg: letter instead of A4). I'm not sure if IE hold different defaults to the standard windows defaults but that would certainly explain some of it.

Ill check all that. It doesnt give an error message, it ust doesnt come up with the printing dialog box
