Fellow edugeekers help me get a higher pay!

Managers and bosses alike i need your assistance, if your one of these lucky schools that has 3 tiers (manager, senior technician, junior technician) i need your job descriptions for senior and junior technicians

 

Here our IT technicians are graded as "Laboratory technicians" (same pay scale combined with lazyness) and we have just 1 manager and 2 regular technicians

 

So can anyone help me out with some job descriptions?

I always use the BECTA ICT technical job description tool to build job descriptions. It's not perfect, but it's got most of the important roles and responsibilities at different levels listed and gives you an idea at what level you're currently working at.

Interesting I don't agree with this statement:

 

Install and maintain standard network cabling;

 

Under technician b, server and network support

Interstingly, that was in my last contract as a basic IT Support(contract was for desktop support) However, the installation of the networking had to be done through county to ensure that we had support & maintenance . What it was supposed to say was that I should be respsonsible for plugging in the network cable from a client to the wall(and keeping it tidy). In other words, setting up new clients onto an existing infrastructure.
