dark_nite159 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Hey everyone, I recently downloaded iTALC and I have no idea how to un-install it. I'm only 15 years old and wanted to see what it can do because the teacher at our school was using it and I wanted to have a shot on how to use it. I've tried basically everything to un-install it but I still can't get the icon off the bottom right corner of my screen. It's really pissing me off seeing that " i ". so Please, if ANYONE knows how to un-install iTALC PLEASE tell me!
stu Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Installation - iTALC-Wiki There is a un install method that should help you here
Geoff Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 When I moved from iTALC to ABTutor, I just disabled the service from a startup script. sc config iTALC start=disabled This was sufficient to stop iTALC from running until the next occasion when we were able to reimage the IT suite(s) it was on.

plexer Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 In that case I'd suggest you go find somewhere else to play then. This is not a place where we are going to spoon feed you. Ben
ICT_GUY Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Looks like you could disable the service with msconfig > services, though the wiki uninstall directions are really very simple.
zag Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 control panel >> administration tools >> services >> italc service >> disable on startup I'm guessing you wont be able to do that if the computers restricted though Good luck hacking it hehe
