Problems with Kid Pix Deluxe 4 for Schools

Our division purchased Kid Pix Deluxe 4 for Schools (School Edition) for the Elementary schools. We built an MSI package for the software and pushed it out to the computer labs. The software has worked well since September but we are now having issues at certain schools.

 

When a student/teacher, even myself with Admin access, run the program, we receive the following error:

 

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

C:\Program Files\The Learning Company\Kid Pix Deluxe 4 School\KP.exe

abnormal program termination

 

It's not happening on every system, just some. We're tried the following to rectify the problem:

 

- re-installing the msi package

- replacing certain files (one of our Techs figured this out)

- contacted Tech Support but they can't duplicate the problem so they haven't been much help

 

 

Has anyone else come across the problem or have any ideas?
