daverage Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Hi there, is there a way that I can make student folders available externally, Somone once mentioned sharepoint to me?
daverage Posted March 31, 2006 Author Posted March 31, 2006 Can i do that for folders that are not on a webserver?
daverage Posted March 31, 2006 Author Posted March 31, 2006 ok i will look into that only problem i have is that my authentication agains AD is done in asp, so I may not be able to acces teh folders lol
Shiny_Guru Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 we use http commander from here Http: Commander works well enough, is stable (has been running without problem for a few years) and is reasonably cheap in the grand scheme of things
Geoff Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 only problem i have is that my authentication agains AD is done in asp, so I may not be able to acces teh folders lol ASP has nothing to do with it. Authentication is handled by WebDav.
daverage Posted March 31, 2006 Author Posted March 31, 2006 so if i try to go to the webdav folder it will ask me for a login then?
apeo Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Well in IIS you can set Directory Security on the folders. We have basic authentication here but our site is over SSL.
Geoff Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 so if i try to go to the webdav folder it will ask me for a login then? Assuming your using a WebDAV client (like webfolders in XP).
