Winstall LE

Got a problem, and i've never had it before with this software, so its confusing.

 

Basically anything i package with this software works fine. Will run.

 

If i edit anything in the registry section when i import it into Winstall for editing then resave it, it breaks it, and will not install saying Error 2715. The event viewer basically says that too, so not much help.

 

I've tried re-installing Winstall LE on another PC too to see if that was the issue.

 

It does not break it if i edit shortcuts or files, it seems to be registry only.

 

Anybody else had this? or can recommend any other good software for editing/converting software to MSI's?

This may explain it a little better:

AppDeploy > Windows Installer Errors > Error 2715

 

Is it just a single package that is having this problem and have you gone through and cleaned up the detected components after the snapshot?
