RAID Recovery software - Sorry me again!

Hi sorry me again!

Last question promise!

 

I have Dell Dimension RAID 0 striped across 2x 150gb drives.

 

 

Does anyone know a piece of software which can perform this sort of recovery?

 

 

I own R-Studio but pretty sure it can't, maybe wrong.

If one of the drives is cooked you can't recover the data as half of it is on the cooked drive, there is no redundancy in RAID 0 which is why people only use it for speeding up hard drive access. It actually makes the chances of failure twice as likely.

If, however, it's your RAID controller that's FUBAR and the disks are fine, try RAID Reconstructor from Runtime. Along with GetDataBack by the same company, it's saved me hours of work when a cheapy RAID controller died on me once.

If it's just bad sectors on one drive you could try Steve Gibson's SpinRite (Home of Gibson Research Corporation). I'm sure I've heard him mention that it works with RAID drives...
