When opening Google admin there is a notice that says

Confirm acknowledgement of parental consent requirement for the Additional Google services turned on for users designated as under 18
Starting September 25, 2026, users designated as under 18 won’t be able to access Additional Google services that don’t have parental consent confirmed. If consent is confirmed for all services, no action is needed. Learn more about parental consent.

Is this something new? Most of the apps we don't use anyway but there are a few apps we do use, namely CS First, Chrome Web Store, Google Play and Google Maps. Being a primary I'm not too sure how to go forward with this. Any advice?

Not that new, we have needed to do this for the past few years.

If you need to use those apps with primary age pupils, either get consent from their parents or create a policy that covers all third part software and get the parents to accept / sign that.
