HP Laptops & Docks losing USB when moving class

Hello,

 

First time posting, so apologies if I get some stuff wrong.

 

We've been getting increase reports from our teachers when moving between classrooms they lose all USB peripheral access (mainly mouse and keyboard).  Currently the only sure fix has been a restart, but this irks some of them.

 

We have played around with the USB selective suspend settings, and this has had a positive effect for some but not others.

 

Has anyone had an experience like this or any thoughts?

 

Campus wide we are using HP Elitebook 840 G6 with 2013 HP ultraslim dock, all are on Win 11 25H2 and were refreshed over the summer break.
