iPad offsite filtering / Jamf / Netsweeper

Hi All,

 

Currently use Talkstraight

 

Wanted to setup iPad filtering offsite, to fix any potential issue should they be taken away from the Site where they would be filtered

 

That was duly setup.. However ..

 

Newly built iPads no freeze

Looking at logs think this is because we enabled "Global HTTP Proxy", manual and relevant details

 

Its like that setting is going on first

The iPad then gets stuck because the Cert goes on to as part of a Profile, but with that setting on it goes through the Proxy and errors due to Cert, ie the Connection being intercepted

 

We can turn the setting back off, however it likely will not pick up the updates

 

Only happened on some iPads today, previous ones rebuilt yesterday where ok

 

Restrictions mean

Cannot Airdrop cert 

Cannot Scan QR etc  

 

It seems reasonable this is the issue

 

However cannot seem to get around it to put a Cert on

 

Any thoughts?

Addendum

 

We built an iPad and used a Phone to Tether and Allowed Jamf to Apply settings

Worked fine, inc Google

 

Back to our Wifi (Defaults as Student filtering on Netsweeper)

Straight away

A problem repeatedly occurred on "https://www.google.com/?client=safari&channel=ipad_bm".

can you whitelist where the cert is coming from so that whilst it is being pushed down to the iPad its not being inspected by the proxy?
