Remove YouTube Ads

Is it possible to remove ads in YouTube for teaching staff? I know it can be done with YouTube Premium but im not sure if there is a discount for this for schools or of we can block ads using Securly or another method?

Unfortunately, Premium is only available for personal Google accounts. Google Workspace accounts are not eligible.

 

I really think Google are missing a trick with not providing a school-wide licence we can apply either to our Google Workspace or even better our IP address (for non-Google schools or other apps like PowerPoint), even if it's just the ad-removal functionality and not the 3x speed or background play.

Removing Ads is also stealing revenue from the creator imho.

Which is why you ideally want YouTube Premium, so the creator still gets paid (YouTube take their cut then share the rest by the ratio of watch time that month), but with the quality control on YouTube's ads, I can understand why many schools do block them given that YT Premium isn't an option.
