MDT ISO Deployment Wizard Re-Appearing

Hi Everyone,

recently I have been experiencing an issue whereby the wizard is re-appearing on first boot into the OS phase right before it actually starts processing the state restore phase ☹️

I am using a fairly complex custom.ini file and 2 options which I have left as manual entry are computer name (chosen by the ict officer on deployment) and also the application choices.  these have worked up until now but as I have been using more custom tasks to inject tweaks etc in the state restore phase is when the issue has started to appear and I feel like I am lost in a rabbit hole ☹️

For application choices would you move to separate task sequences and just have them processed in the TS itself rather than manually choosing?

I have checked the logs and there are no obvious failures at this stage but obviously i have to check the logs before completing the state restore phase otherwise the cleanup phase will wipe them out.

any advice is much appreciated as I feel lost

sorry everyone, found the culprit, turns out the answerfile was corrupted 🤬, tested with a dummy task sequence thus blank answer file and then copied the basic answer file into my other task sequence and all the custom tasks worked correctly.

back to the drawing board with the answer file
