Edge profile Auto Sign in

I am setting up a new domain and tenant and want to use the edge auto profile sign in as currently do on existing domains.

If i open edge and manually sign in with 365 email address and password it sets up the profile and shows syn is active.

However, with the gpo's enabled it shows a profile but only shows the user as DOMAIN\username for the local domain.

The user in AD has it's full 365 External UPN shown.

Anyone guide me with the steps taken to get this working again for the new domain?

Which Edge GPOs do you have set currently? Might be easier to tell you what we have different as there wasn't anything specific we did apart from setting the Edge GPOs and ensuring there's the normal Entra Connect etc

Force sign in

automatically sign in and do not allow removal of profile

intranet zone set with the auto login url

registry key created.

So we don't force sign in as the automatically signed in profile one below should override that 

Browser Sign-in Settings -> Enabled (Enable browser sign-in)

Configure whether a user always has a default profile automatically signed in with work/school account -> Enabled
Disable synchronization of data using Microsoft sync services -> Disabled
Force synchronization of browser data and do not show sync consent prompt -> Enabled

Then a few others just for nicety, like disabling Guest Mode, removing enable profile creation etc
