Smoothwall - iOS Smoothwall Browser

Morning All, 

 

We have been a smoothwall customer for several years now, no real problems to report. Until... 

We have been using the iOS SW browser for a while now. We have been having problems with devices being double filtered whilst onsite. The "Secret Knock" and the Rules to bypass the on-prem smoothwall appliances have been in place from the beginning. 

From speaking to SW support, i understand that the secret knock feature doesn't work for iOS devices? So we are now looking at our pupil VLANS to create a bypass rule on the on-prem appliance. 

Just wanted to see if anyone else has had any experience with iOS / SW browser and the same problems we are facing.

Yes - the secret knock couldnt be implemented on IOS - there's various limitations to outbound connections we can make.
