Restricting Google Docs Translation Feature for Exams

Hello everyone,

 

Is there any way to disable or restrict the translation features in Google Docs (specifically Tools > Translate document)?

We’ve had an exam integrity issue where a student used this feature to translate an exam paper from English to French. As a result, we’re exploring whether it’s possible to restrict or control this functionality during exams within Google Workspace.

 

Any guidance, best practices, or alternative approaches would be greatly appreciated.

No. It isn't.

I would suggest using an exam compliant platform like ExamWritePad, Orbitnote or Trelson.

Trying to fudge your existing tools to work is a fast route to compliance issues.
