We’re looking for a skilled and proactive IT Network Technician to play a key role in maintaining and developing our college’s IT infrastructure. Principal Duties

 

·          Network Maintenance: Assist with providing second line support for routine network tasks, including cabling, connectivity, testing, queries and issues.

·          Hardware Support: Participate in hardware installations, audits, and maintenance, including replacing components and ensuring smooth operation. 

·          Software Support: Help with software installations, updates, and troubleshooting. 

·          Second-Line Support: Provide support to users for technical issues, escalating when necessary. 

·          Customer Support: Communicate effectively with users, guiding them through troubleshooting steps and providing technical assistance. 

 

·          Security: Assist with network security tasks, such as user account management and access permissions.

·          Autonomy and self-management: The ability to work without constant direct supervision, manage your own time, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

·          Documentation: Document tasks and procedures, ensuring proper knowledge transfer. 

·          Operating Systems: Deploy and manage Windows and Apple operating systems.

·          MDM: Work with MDM products to manage Apple and Windows systems, along with mobile devices, such as iPhones and Android devices.

·          Escalation: Escalate issues to more experienced staff when necessary.
