newpersn Posted November 27, 2025 Posted November 27, 2025 Hello We have 1:1 with year 8's and we have had a few laptops come up to us with WiFi issues. The card appears in device manager with a fault. Normally failed to start. We removed/uninstalled the driver (including Bluetooth Driver) and install latest one from Intel and ASUS website and reboot and it appears working again. 24hrs laptop the card back in a fault status, Has anyone else had this issues? we had to loan them a USB Nano WIFI card for the time being to get them working as we got no spares We have a few going though RMA though easy4U but they are taking 4+ weeks. Thanks
sigma Posted November 27, 2025 Posted November 27, 2025 Even though you might have a number of laptops all the same model and consecutive serial numbers, it wouldn't be unheard of for some devices to have a different manufactuers wifi card such that it keeps spittiing it out when you use the supplied driver "even if the manufacturers webite says otherwise". Have you checked the PNP Device ID for the wireless card in MSinfo to know that you have the device/model wifi card that you expect for some of the problem devices?
