Block control panel but not settings

Hello all,

 

I'm trying to prevent students from accessing control panel however allowing the settings menu to still be accessible with already pre-set restrictions. i have attempted this with GP however the only setting i could find that works blocking the control panel also blocks the settings page user config/administrative templates/control panel/prohibit access.......

Could you potentially block the individual cpl items and include them all, it would mean control panel would still launch but it would be blank at least.

I use: user config/administrative templates/control panel/Settings Page Visibility. This is enabled with ShowOnly:Sound;Display

 

I also have: config/administrative templates/control panel/Show only specified Control Panel items. enabled with Sound and Display added to the list

 

This won't block the control panel but they can only get access to 2 items which are the same as the settings page
