howartp Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 Hi We moved to Win11 from Win10 (RM/CC4) this summer. One issue we've not yet identified is that Modern UI popups (Quick Access, Volume, Win+P) aren't appearing for most usertypes. Any ideas as to which GPOs might be affecting this? Peter
Steve21 Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 There’s a few that normally affect that things like blocking action centre/notifications from older OS/GPO AppLocker over blocking as that comes via settings/immersive control panel etc over blocking of settings via GPO When you run an RSOP of the user what’s applying to it as might be easier to work backwards Steve
howartp Posted October 29, 2025 Author Posted October 29, 2025 Found it. "Remove Quick Access" (User Config > Policies > Admin Templates > Start Menu & Taskbar > Remove Quick Settings) was doing its job too well. We had it turned on, partially in testing but seemingly live in other policies, to try and remove the non-working Volume Control icon from the taskbar. Turning it off allows flyouts to work, and turning off "Desktop > Disable all Items" allowed right-click to work.
