Jamie2581 Posted October 24, 2025 Posted October 24, 2025 Hi All, I have been trying to push out a policy to remove all pins from the taskbar for our virtual machines however for the life of me i cannot pin file explorer! I know the XML files working because i can add and remove apps like CMD. It also keeps outlook pinned no matter what i do. Any suggestions would be great. I am using the Start Layout Policy. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <LayoutModificationTemplate xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/Start/2014/LayoutModification" xmlns:defaultlayout="http://schemas.microsoft.com/Start/2014/FullDefaultLayout" xmlns:start="http://schemas.microsoft.com/Start/2014/StartLayout" xmlns:taskbar="http://schemas.microsoft.com/Start/2014/TaskbarLayout" Version="1"> <CustomTaskbarLayoutCollection PinListPlacement="Replace"> <defaultlayout:TaskbarLayout> <taskbar:TaskbarPinList> <taskbar:UWA AppUserModelID="Microsoft.WindowsTerminal_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App"/> <taskbar:DesktopApp DesktopApplicationID="Microsoft.Windows.Explorer"/> </taskbar:TaskbarPinList> </defaultlayout:TaskbarLayout> </CustomTaskbarLayoutCollection> </LayoutModificationTemplate>
