IPhone & Android Parental control

We are in a position where we have had an IPhone which is being handed down, but also have android (which I prefer).  As a result, we are in the situation where we (as parents) will have both an IPhone and Android and kids who also have an IPhone and Android and we are trying to setup the family controls. However, we are in the situation where only 1 of us has the ability to manage 1 of the children. Previously this was done soley through android and worked well. However, I have used Apple family and I am having problems with getting notifications when a new app is being requested.  As a result, I'm now looking at a single app which can be installed on both Android & Apple so that both of us can manage both kids.

 

Is anyone using an app to do this?  At the minute, I am at the point where IOS just doesn't seem to want to play nice and I am at the point of throwing it out of the windows.  I'm sure it works well when everything is in IOS, but I just prefer Android but really need something which is easy to manage across OS so both my wife and I can control Android and IOS.  Even if that is going to cost us to pay for an app
