School Exercise Book Cover Colours

I think I remember science being green. Maths blue (maybe?)

 

However, Google suggests:

 

English: Light or dark blue
Geography: Green or buff/brown
History: Purple or dark grey
Maths: Red, often for square-lined paper "Best" books, and sometimes orange for "Work" books
Music: Pink, with pages pre-printed with musical staves
Rough Book (for all subjects): Plain grey or buff
Science: Yellow, or sometimes green for biology and red for physics and chemistry

I remember making book covers out of wallpaper!

I used an old map for one of my geography exercise books.

The posh kids at my school used sticky backed plastic.

I'm not a very crafty person and every time I covered a new book it looked like a very badly wrapper present.
