synaesthesia Posted October 14, 2025 Posted October 14, 2025 Morning good folks! I have an annoyance I could do with removing - unfortunately my kids aren't old enough yet so they'll have to stay put, but in the meantime. Adobe Creative Cloud INSISTS on opening an Edge browser window upon student login for them to log into their Adobe ID. Edge isn't the default browser anyway, so I have no idea why it's doing this, and I'd prefer them to sign into Adobe only when needed, not when forced. Has anyone had the same behaviour and been able to combat it please?
timbo343 Posted October 14, 2025 Posted October 14, 2025 I had the same issue, and created these Reg_SZ entries in Group Policy. I think it worked as we don't have the issue any more. 1
synaesthesia Posted October 14, 2025 Author Posted October 14, 2025 Thank you kindly! Will give those a go
Bankesy Posted October 16, 2025 Posted October 16, 2025 @synaesthesia @timbo343 Hope you don't me posting this here as I was going to start a new thread anyway but it sounds like you have both deployed Adobe apps and I am struggling with this since moving to Windows 11. I've got Photoshop installing via Intune fine apart from when the students log in to Windows they are greeted with the attached regarding a Microsoft print driver install, any ideas, please? I followed the Adobe guide on deploying Photoshop via Intune and don't think I have done anything wrong in that regard.
synaesthesia Posted October 16, 2025 Author Posted October 16, 2025 No worries! Unfortunately I'd not be much help in this instance, ours is deployed on demand with PDQ or at build time with MDT and this isn't something that crops up for us.
Bankesy Posted October 16, 2025 Posted October 16, 2025 @Synesthesia Thanks, Adobe are saying it is a known Microsoft issue: https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/topic/unexpected-uac-prompts-when-running-msi-repair-operations-after-installing-the-august-2025-windows-security-update-5806f583-e073-4675-9464-fe01974df273#:~:text=Symptoms,Windows%20Installer%20during%20Active%20Setup
