Papercut Pi Release stations in 2025

Morning all,

 

We have to replace one of your old pi release stations, but are finding the image was deprecated a couple of years ago, and i can find no mechanism to replace it on a pi, that allows release by card entry. I would have thought this would a standard web release thing.

 

I cant believe they stopped doing something so useful to some, and not provide a viable alternative

 

Anyone have any tips tricks hacks etc? We just need to show a login by card screen so that we can use our scanners to read a barcode on the users card(just normal keyb compatible scanner on usb). This is a real headache
