Google Classroom cannot logon as a teacher for a new account

Hello, I have set up some new teacher accounts in Google Admin. When they first logon to Google Classroom and select "I am a Teacher", to choose their role,  a message come up saying "There was an error - please try again" They then cannot get any further.

Are they in the classroom_teachers group? Thats how it knows they can  be teachers.

No they weren't. Adding them has fixed the problem. Thank you for your help.
