We've recently found out that the setting to disable Edge InPrivate browsing for users no longer works located at

"User Configuration" "Administrative Templates" > "Windows Components" > "Microsoft Edge".
Find the policy named "Allow InPrivate browsing".
Double-click on the policy and set it to "Disabled".
Click Apply and then OK.

Instead a registry hack has to be applied to the HKCU - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge > InPrivateModeAvailability | DWORD = 1 to disable InPrivate Browsing.

We can confirm the regedit against the current user works.

Thanks.

I already have the latest Win11 ADMX files, there was nothing in there which helped.

I've now downloaded the policy templated for Edge 139.0.3405.102 so will see if there is anything in there that might help.

That looks like the old key you're using for the "non-Chromy" edge

Admin Templates -> Microsoft Edge -> Configure InPrivate mode Availibility

Set to Enabled (then drop-down "InPrivate Mode Disabled")
