Chromebook: Online Based Drawing Solution

Hi guys, I would be really grateful if anyone could name drop anything suitable.

We are looking for something web based for year 1 pupils to use to draw. Something like Paint but for Chromebooks but we need it to be really easy for pupils to save their creation so teachers can view it as we need to be able to evidence what they have done. Using Docs is going to be a little too complicated due to having to go through the menus. 

 

Ideally, we need it to be free, but we could also look at subscription packages if anyone can recommend anything good.

I recommend taking a look at J2e, specifically the JIT5 tool. The paint tool in JIT5 is simple enough for Year 1 to use, and it handles saving and evidencing work super easily if you create class folders.

It is subscription-based, so unfortunately not free, however I used to be able to use it to successfully teach the majority of units throughout the year.

 

For KS2 we used Google Workspace SSO logins on their individual Chromebook profiles, but for KS1 you can generate QR codes from inside J2e for each child to scan and log in, as they'd mainly be completing their lessons on iPads.

Just had a look and EZWrite looks to have many good features as a whiteboarding platform with integration with Google Classroom etc and good quality backgrounds.  Also the UI is pretty clean and intuitive with lesser used features out of the way without clogging the UI.

We use Photopea on chromebooks in the art dept it's more aimed at images but does do drawing I believe too.

Thank you everyone. I really appreciate your suggestions. I had a trial with a few members of staff and so far, they quite like the Ezwrite one from Benq. I just need to alter the Google permissions slightly as it is getting blocked.
