Popular Post jamiewyc Posted June 12, 2025 Popular Post Posted June 12, 2025 Hi all, I just wanted to share a little project Iβve been working on in my spare time β JSTechTools. Iβm not a developer by trade (Just a very nerdy IT Manager!) but thought this might be helpful for others in IT support, especially apprentices or those new to working with Windows domains. Itβs a free Windows-based toolkit built in C# that wraps up a bunch of handy remote management tools into a simple, portable GUI. Things like: Ping & Traceroute Remote uptime check View OS info, hard drives, network adapters Start/stop/restart services remotely System & Application Event Log queries Port scanner DNS lookup Profile management using Delprof2 (list or delete profiles on remote machines β including profiles older than 30 days) Dark mode toggle (because why not) ...and a few other bits. Itβs designed to be run on a domain β and most features will need to be run as a domain admin. π¦ Download / Source Iβve uploaded the code and a ready-to-run build to GitHub here: π GitHub - JSTechToolsΒ Itβs open-source and completely free β no strings attached. If it helps even one apprentice avoid a long command-line session or remember how to restart a stubborn remote service, Iβll be happy. π£ What Iβd Love From You If anyone fancies trying it out or has ideas for other useful tools to bundle in, Iβd really appreciate the feedback. If it goes down well, Iβll keep developing it β maybe add things like: Remote registry tweaks Printer management β¦or whatever people would find useful. π Thanks Thanks to all the helpful posts and contributors on Edugeek over the years β Iβve pinched more than a few good ideas from here before, so this is my small way of giving something back. Cheers! Jamie 3 2
