k-strider Posted June 17, 2025 Posted June 17, 2025 i want to say deja vu. as in i have seen this q either here or on ANME you can run the setup of new SQL Server and then chose to upgrade the instances... i have done this myself with SQL instances i have on site - we don't use SIMS. Hopefully someone who has done this will chip in, the other advice was if its on a VM there is no harm snap shoting it trying and roll back if it all goes wrong.
