The_W Posted May 22, 2025 Posted May 22, 2025 Hi all, Appreciate the comments – I can understand where some of the frustration comes from when comparing roles like this with similar posts, especially in the private sector. This role does sit at a first-line level in terms of pay banding, which reflects national pay structures in education – these are unfortunately not something we set locally. That said, what sets this opportunity apart is the real variety of tech exposure you’ll get working onsite, directly supporting staff and students in a dynamic, fast-moving secondary school environment. It’s not a static helpdesk role – we’re looking for someone who wants to grow their skills across infrastructure, cloud platforms, classroom tech, and everything in between. We absolutely want the right person, and we’re open to feedback. If anyone’s genuinely interested and wants a clearer picture of the day-to-day or longer-term progression, feel free to reach out or drop more questions here – happy to chat more. Thanks again for the honest input – it’s valuable. Happy to take PMs 1
