VMs Missing/Don't start after reboot

I have a mix of DL360 G10 and ML350 G10 servers, one site rack, one site tower. the DL360 G10's have an odd issue. It was always occuring when on Windows Server 2022, whereby when the host is rebooted, the VM's don't come back online after reboot. However, if you login to the server, only SOME of the VM's are shown and start or don't start. If i restart the HYper-V virtual machine management service, and then refresh the console, the rest of the missing VM's appear, and then start.

I don't seem to have this on any other servers, only these particular DL360 gen 10s/

I have clean installed the servers onto server 2025 and the same issue is still apparant.

Anyone else seen this before?

All other servers and hosts reboot and start the saved VMs without any issues.

Can’t say I have might be worth exporting them / move to a different host and then nuking the server and rebuild and try again is it part of a cluster ?

Its not a Cluster, its a standalone and thats what i did as though was an issue with server 2022. So i clean installed 2025, re-imported the VMS, then whilst doing the windows updates on the host, when rebooting same issue still present.

How about recreating the virtual machines, but attaching the existing disks. You will effectively have a new clean configuration without any data loss.

Maybe means they will be given a new ID and veeam will detect as new VMS creating secondary backups

Yea it does get a bit messy when restoring but aslong as you can access the vhds then could be worth a go

Might be worth going into the raid controller and checking theres no serious errors?  It sounds a bit "hardware issue" weird.
