johnn Posted April 3, 2025 Posted April 3, 2025 Hi Everyone Is anyone else still using the SGWorld Vis-IT entry system? We’re running into a major issue and hoping someone might have a solution. Due to a hard drive failure, we’re moving to a new unit. We have a valid license for two units running Vis-IT, but the software is no longer installed. The issue? We can’t find the installation files anywhere. We reached out to SGWorld, but they’ve told us that Vis-IT is obsolete and are pushing us to switch to their cloud system. While we plan to do that eventually (once we can secure the budget), we just need the installation files to get us through the next few weeks. Unfortunately, they’re refusing to help. Their only suggestion was to physically go through two secure doors to exit the software on the touchscreen and then open it locally on the system—which is completely impractical in a primary school where those doors are secured for a reason. Has anyone dealt with something similar? Does anyone still have the install files? Honestly, after this experience, we’re seriously considering moving away from SGWorld altogether. Their lack of support for long-time customers has been disappointing. Would appreciate any advice!
PotNoodleTech Posted April 3, 2025 Posted April 3, 2025 If they're happy to throw you under the bus like that then the only way to teach them a lesson is move....... to something more modern like Entrysign or the like. It seems like they've been using the same tactics of not giving the software out so you have to pay them for at least the last 8 years...... I despise companies like that.
johnn Posted April 3, 2025 Author Posted April 3, 2025 i know its not good business - we are looking at other system but the cost is a lot higher for a full new system and budgets are so tight currently my option world be sod them if they don't want to help and retain customers why should we move to your cloud version . and is even said that point blunt in an email to them
