Kimbern73 Posted March 26, 2025 Posted March 26, 2025 Is it possible, or can you only read data from SIMS into Power BI?
FN-GM Posted March 27, 2025 Posted March 27, 2025 This is a bad idea, a reporting product should only read from the source. What are you trying to achieve?
Kimbern73 Posted March 27, 2025 Author Posted March 27, 2025 I don’t know yet. Just exploring. Most simplistically, maybe reporting entries (behaviour, AtL, etc) being entered into PowerBi and written back to SIMS. I can’t find anything online. You can writeback to enterprise databases with PowerBi (lots of articles and third party tools available) but as for school MIS…can’t see anything

Problem we have is we use Class Charts, which doesn’t write back lesson attendance (only AM/PM) so we’ve got no useful lesson attendance data in SIMS, which is most useful at KS5

Plus since the legal requirement is only to submit AM/PM marks back thats all they worry about.
