CAM Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 I've been asked to look at the assessment system for next year by our SLT Assessment Co-Ordinator. Been pondering what to use and wondering what people think of APP and it's suitability for general assessment. I remember it being 'a thing' a few years ago but then it fell off my radar. The reason I am looking at APP is instead of teachers blindly entering if the student made progress, it would give us something to say where a student has made progress and how they can improve in an easy to communicate manner.
gazskeltz Posted June 13, 2014 Author Posted June 13, 2014 Hi, Progress Grids? We're having a look at them at the moment - possibly to create a progress 'Ladder' with specific knowledge steps in a Progress Grid. The Grids themselves are quite clunky for the average user to use properly - you can't set them up for classes or subjects - you have o filter on the fly. You can, however, also transfer and create Marksheets with the data going across in a way we're all used to. It's just the verbose descriptions that get lost. Our Subject Leaders are currently working on creating Grids for their subjects. Regards Gary
