As a school we use Go4Schools (formely Stars4Schools) as our data tracking system.

 

Saw this morning that they are going to advertsing for a "Professional Services Development Lead" in January, giving the successful applicant the opportunity to take on a development role with the company.

 

I have been a Data Manager for 5 1/2 years and am yet to find a system that ticks all the boxes for data analysis and would love the opportunity to design a system based around the day to day needs of data managers.

Professional Services Development Lead

Position: Permanent/sabbatical

Location: Cambridge

 

Salary: Depending on experience

GO 4 Schools is a strategic online system used by schools and academies looking to take their use of data to the next level. The number of schools using GO 4 Schools has roughly doubled in each of the past 3 years and we expect growth to continue to be strong. A high level of engagement with schools is the key to our success. Only by working closely with schools can we deliver what they need.

 

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual to increase GO 4 Schools' professional profile and to build on our existing strong relationships with users to establish and develop a network of 'hub' schools who can showcase GO 4 Schools and provide approved training to new schools.

 

The successful candidate should have held a senior post in education and will have a passion for school data and an understanding of how it can be used effectively to support school improvement in the ever-changing education environment. They will possess the skills to talk and write about best practice, to develop a network of schools, to deliver consultancy, presentations and training themselves, as well as to manage the delivery of these by others. They will also feed in to the development of GO 4 Schools, using their experience and insight to help us keep the system in tune with the latest initiatives in education.

 

This role requires an innovative and creative thinker who is also an excellent communicator, comfortable working with staff at all levels within schools with Ofsted ratings ranging from Outstanding to Special Measures. The candidate will be trained up to super-user level in GO 4 Schools and will develop an exceptional understanding of best practice in the strategic use of data in schools.

 

This is a new post, based in Cambridge. Some travel - mainly regional - will be required to visit schools, conferences and other events. We are looking to make a permanent appointment, but we will also consider applications from senior leaders looking to take a 2- or 3-term sabbatical. If we take the sabbatical route, we anticipate there being a rolling programme of sabbaticals.
